Ashland Police & Fire Reports
Tuesday 2:31 a.m.—Police lodged a 33-year-old man on North Main Street to the William H. Moore Sobering Center in Medford.
Tuesday 2:29 p.m.—Police received from the Department of Human Services a report of possible neglect and threat of harm in Ashland.
Tuesday 2:33 p.m.—Police investigated a business at the 100 Block of East Main Street after the owner reported his business had been the victim of fraud. The case is currently under investigation.
Tuesday 8:17 p.m.—Police assisted Southern Oregon University Campus Public Safety with a possession of a controlled substance case at the 1400 Block of Madrone Street. A woman had in her possession less than an ounce of marijuana, marijuana smoking paraphernalia, as well as small amounts of suspected psylocybin and suspected L.S.D.
Tuesday 11:26 p.m.—Police impounded a vehicle and arrested a 20-year-old man at the intersection of Mountain Street and Iowa Ave. Police stopped the vehicle for a lighting violation, and the driver was found to have a suspended license and possessed less than an ounce of marijuana. Police arrested the man after his probation officer placed a detainer on him during the traffic stop, and the man was transported to Jackson County Jail.
Wednesday 4:36 a.m.—Police responded to a suspicious activity case at the 300 Block of Wightman Street after Southern Oregon University Security found a purse with a bank debit card inside. The purse was placed into holding at the Ashland Police Department pending return to the owner.
