Mandy Valencia was on the scene of a Shoe Shooting held at the new art gallery opened on First Friday, Jan. 3, 2009, by City Councilor Eric Navickas. Visitors took turns using a slingshot to propel shoes with paint-covered soles at a large painted face of President George Bush.

Water Bound

The musical group Water Bound performed in Ashland on Jan. 2, 2009 at Studio 5 on A Street. The band from Talent, Oregon played during the First Friday Art Walk in support of Disabled United Direct Empowerment (DUDE).
