Opening of Hoquiam biodiesel plant delayed until August

HOQUIAM, Wash. (AP) — The opening of the Imperium Renewables biodiesel plant at Hoquiam has been delayed from July until August.

Spokesman John Williams says the $40 million plant at the Port of Grays Harbor has already begun to receive bulk canola, soy and oil products for processing.

When it’s running, the plant will produce 100 million gallons of biofuel a year.
