State board poised to hike tuition costs The State Board of Higher Education is expected today to approve tuition hikes for undergraduates at the state's seven public universities.
· Jewish and Muslim Israelis at Havurah: The Havurah Synagogue is presenting two-part prayer and lecture series from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, at 185 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. · The First Annual Bull Pen Trout Fishing Tournament for Seniors and People with Disabilities will be held beginning 6 a.m., Saturday, at the Howard Prairie Lake Resort. It is a benefit that will help the continue the work of the Disabilities Recreation Project for upgrading wheelchair access in other public parks in Jackson County. $10/person.
