Floyd Field Smith Floyd Field Smith, 89, of Grants Pass died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001 at River Valley Community Church with Pastors Walt Ferris and Ernie Yaconelli officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A gathering for friends and family will be held afterward at River Valley Community Church to share food and stories.

Donald Josiah Hayden Donald Josiah Hayden, 78, of Florence and formerly of Ashland, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001 of heart failure. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001 at the Presbyterian Church of the Siuslaw in Florence. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Don Hayden Memorial Fund at the Presbyterian Church of the Siuslaw, 3996 Hwy. 101 N., Florence, Ore. 97439.
